Chelsea set to battle Man City for Real Madrid target

CHELSEA are preparing to battle for Valencia defender Jose Gaya when the transfer window reopens in January, according to reports in Spain.
Jose Gaya has attracted interest from Chelsea, Man City and Real Madrid
The champions were said to be monitoring the 20-year-old over the summer despite John Stones being their main target.
Manchester City have also been linked with the Spaniard and according to Fichajes.net, both sides are weighing up a move for the youngster.
Chelsea take on Maccabi Tel Aviv tonight (7.45pm) at Stamford Bridge with Jose Mourinho preparing to axe four players from his squad.
John Terry, Diego Costa, Branislav Ivanovic and Nemanja Matic are all set to be rested.
