Liverpool legend: Reds desperately missed Steven Gerrard against Manchester United
LIVERPOOL legend John Aldridge believes Steven Gerrard was sorely missed against Manchester United.

The Reds endured a miserable afternoon at Old Trafford on Saturday, as they crashed to a 3-1 defeat.
And Aldridge is convinced his old club needed a midfield powerhouse like Gerrard, who joined LA Galaxy in the summer, to shore things up.
"He’s been in the news this weekend, of course, with his book. But I thought he was missed by Liverpool at Old Trafford," Aldridge told the Liverpool Echo.
"It was noticeable how much we lacked the kind of presence that Steve has for so many years provided.
"The midfield didn’t work, didn’t play well, and we had nobody standing up and leading us.

"They’ve given him a lot of stick over the years, United fans, but I guarantee one thing; they’ll have been glad he wasn’t playing on Saturday."
Liverpool now sit 10th in the Premier League table.
