Lazio 2 - 0 Udinese : Alessandro Matri double sees Lazio defeat Udinese 2-0 in Rome

Two second-half goals from substitute Alessandro Matri saw Lazio beat a resilient Udinese 2-0 in Rome to pick up their second win of their Serie A season on Sunday.

Matri opened his goalscoring account with Lazio, whom he joined on loan from AC Milan this summer, when he tapped in Felipe Anderson's assist past Udinese goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis in the 64th minute.

The Italian striker added his second nine minutes later, beating Karnezis with a six-yard shot towards the centre of goal.

Udinese tested Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti on four occasions but failed to find the back of the net for a second straight game to lose for the second time this campaign.
