Hoffenheim are still waiting for their first win of the season as they succumbed to a last-gasp 3-1 defeat at home to Werder Bremen.

Zlatko Junuzovic put the visitors in front on the stroke of half-time but Eduardo Vargas levelled matters early in the second half.

Claudio Pizarro was sent on for his third Bremen debut in the final 10 minutes and after going close to making it a dream return to the northern Germany club with a goal, the 36-year-old teed-up Anthony Ujah to give Bremen the lead in stoppage time.

There were still enough seconds left on the clock for Junuzovic to strike again and seal a 3-1 win for Viktor Skripnik's men.
