Alexander Meier gave a reminder of why he became the Bundesliga's top goalscorer last season as he marked his return from almost half a year on the sidelines with a hat-trick in a 6-2 win for Eintracht Frankfurt against Cologne.
Meier netted his first in the third minute before making it 3-0 midway through the first half, after Luc Castaignos had also hit the target.
Anthony Modeste pulled one back for the guests before Castaignos added his second and Frankfurt's fourth.
Haris Seferovic supplied Frankfurt's fifth and Dominique Heintz grabbed a late consolation before Meier added his third to condemn Peter Stoger's men to their first defeat of the season.
