Stuttgart were left rooted to the foot of the Bundesliga with four defeats from four games as Hertha Berlin became the latest side to beat them, 2-1 at the Olympiastadion.
The hosts took the lead through Genki Haraguchi in the 14th minute as he threaded his shot through the legs of Odisseas Vlachodimos.
Toni Sunjic levelled for Stuttgart 10 minutes before half-time, heading in Daniel Didavi's free-kick to crown a strong period of pressure from the guests and mark his debut with a goal.
Fabian Lustenberger volleyed Hertha back in front deep in first-half stoppage time and there was no change to the scoreline in the second 45 minutes as Hertha picked up the points.
