Florentino Perez insists "Madrid fan" Gareth Bale will not leave Spain

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has issued a hands off warning to Premier League clubs hoping to prise Gareth Bale away from the Spanish capital, as per the Daily Mail.
The Wales international has hit the ground running for the La Liga giants so far this season and in the first two league fixtures, Bale has netted twice, provided an assist and created six chances in total.

But during the summer transfer window, the 26-year-old was strongly linked with a return to English football after falling out of favour with the Bernabeu faithful - in particularly Manchester United, with Louis van Gaal said to be a huge admirer (via Daily Mail).

Club president Perez has, however, brought a halt to speculation by stating his intent to keep his £80 million signing at the club for the foreseeable future.
"He grew up as a Madrid fan and he wants to be here. He has incredible belief in his own ability. He will not leave," he said.

Last season, Bale's second in Spain, more pressure was placed on the No.11's shoulders to perform by limiting his own number of attempts on goal and instead provide club icon Cristiano Ronaldo with more goalscoring opportunities.

The former Tottenham Hotspur star soon became the target of fans' frustration when results were not going in Los Blancos' favour. No silverware last campaign will have only added to the negative sentiment surrounding the Galactico.
Despite this, Bale managed to score 13 times in 31 league appearances with nine assists and 49 chances created to his name last term. He has also completed 6 out a possible nine take-ons this season - one more than Ronaldo.
