Chelsea suffer MAJOR injury blow as goalkeeper faces spell on sidelines with knee injury

Chelsea are likely to be without first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for this weekend’s Barclays Premier League clash against Everton, Independent Sport reports.
The 23-year-old, who started in both of Belgium’s Euro 2016 qualifiers against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Cyprus in the international break, injured his knee during the first training session back with the Blues on Wednesday and is now facing a spell on the sidelines.
It’s unclear just how long the Belgian stopper will be out for, but manager Jose Mourinho is expected to provide an update during his pre-match press conference on Friday.
His absence is likely to earn Asmir Begovic a recall to the starting XI for the game at Goodison Park at Saturday lunchtime as the visitors look to bounce back from their shock home defeat at the hands of London rivals Crystal Palace last time out.
