Cristiano Ronaldo would cost PSG €1 billion - Real Madrid president Perez

Real Madrid have no intention of selling Cristiano Ronaldo for anything less than his €1 billion buyout clause, according to club president Florentino Perez.
Ronaldo, 30, has been a reported target of Paris Saint-Germain in recent months, with El Mundo Deportivo reporting earlier this week that Madrid rejected a €150m bid from the French champions this summer for the Portugal captain.
Asked about PSG's interest in Ronaldo, Perez said in an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena Cope: "Here in Spain everybody has it easy because, unlike in England, a release clause exists. If you want to sign a player you pay his buyout clause and get him.
"In the case of Cristiano it's €1,000m [£725m]. If they don't pay that, they don't want him. Whenever I've wanted a player, I've gone for him paying the release clause."
Ronaldo has three years left on his contract at the Bernabeu, and Perez says a Madrid team without the forward is out of the question.
"It's just impossible," he said. "He is our most emblematic player, the best player in the world. It doesn't enter our mind to sell him.
"Of course I like [Barcelona's Lionel] Messi, but I prefer Cristiano Ronaldo a lot more."
Ronaldo is in his seventh season with Los Blancos and coming off one of his finest ever years after scoring 61 goals in all competitions -- his best tally since his arrival from Manchester United in the summer of 2009.
The Ballon d'Or holder netted 48 goals in 35 La Liga games and was the top scorer in the Spanish top flight for the third time in his career.
Florentino Perez says Real Madrid selling Cristiano Ronaldo is an unthinkable situation.
Despite his impressive numbers last season, Madrid finished the year with no trophies as rivals Barcelona won a Primera Division, Copa del Rey and Champions League treble.
"I don't imagine another season without any titles," Perez said. "We have a spectacular team, a great coach [Rafa Benitez] and we have begun with renewed enthusiasm."
Madrid made just three reinforcements this summer, bringing in defender Danilo and midfielders Casemiro and Mateo Kovacic, while they failed in their attempts to sign top target David De Gea from Manchester United.
When asked why Madrid did not sign a big-name player, Perez added: "We look to have the best in the world. There was no one better [in the market] than the players we had.
"We have improved the team with Casemiro, Kovacic and Danilo. To manage players who are all very good is difficult. But we have a very balanced squad and Rafa Benitez is the best coach I've ever had."
Madrid are waiting to find out how long Danilo will be out for after the club announced on Thursday that the right-back had suffered a foot injury.
