Chelsea forward Diego Costa has been backed to rediscover his goalscoring form by new teammate Pedro who said that the forward just needs a goal, via the Daily Express.
Costa joined Chelsea last season from Spanish side Atletico Madrid and in his debut season in England he scored 20 goals as he helped Chelsea to the Premier League title.
However, this season he has just one goal to his name and he looks short of confidence at the moment. which is a worrying sign for Chelsea fans.
Pedro joined Chelsea late on in the transfer window and he has linked up with Costa in the Spain squad and backed his new teammate to get back to his best soon.
“He’s missing a goal, but he’s in the right place, he provides solutions and the goals will arrive,” Pedro said.
Pedro also went on to say that he has been really happy with his move to Chelsea and it is obvious that he is feeling good about the new chapter in his career.
“I am very happy with the change, I’ve arrived in England well and you can tell I’m comfortable.”
The winger scored on his debut against West Bromwich Albion but he was unable to prevent the club from losing 2-1 at home before the international break.
After the break, Chelsea play Everton away from home, a fixture they won 6-3 last season, and a win is crucial given that they are already eight points behind league leaders Manchester City.
