Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has dismissed suggestions that Arsenal and Manchester United were keen on signing him in the recent transfer window.
The 27-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Gunners during the off-season, while the Red Devils were also credited with an interest in the France international.
However, neither of the English clubs solidified their reported interest as Arsenal opted not to bring in a new striker, while United eventually signed Anthony Martial from Monaco on transfer deadline day.
When quizzed on the summer transfer rumours, Benzema toldTelefoot: "There was nothing in the talk of a transfer away from Madrid.
"I'm happy at my current club, it's the best in the world. I'll continue to work here and be happy where I am."
Commenting on his return to the France line-up for Saturday's clash with Portugal, Benzema added: "It's been like four months since I played properly.
"I've played a little bit for Madrid, but that's all. I'm working little by little to be back in shape."
