Stranraer ended a run of three league defeats with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Ladbrokes League One basement club Brechin.
City went into the game still searching for their first win of the league campaign after five successive defeats, and held their own in a goalless opening period.
But they conceded their 14th goal in the league this season just six minutes after the restart. Striker Jamie Longworth was the goal hero for Stranraer, working some space before slotting his effort home.
The hosts remain in eighth spot with six points.
