Malaysia's national football coach Dollah Salleh has announced his resignation on Saturday, just two days after his side was beaten 10-0 by the United Arab Emirates in a World Cup qualifier.
Dollah sugned a two-and-a-half-year contract with Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) last July, but recent results have not gone his way.
Prior to Thursday's 10-0 defeat, Dollah's charges drew 0-0 with Bangladesh, 1-1 with Timor Leste and lost 6-0 at home to Palestine.
"Who can accept a 10-0 defeat? That is why I quit," Dolla told AFP on Saturday.
"Historically, it is the worst ever defeat for the national team."
Following Dollah's resignation, the FAM has appointed Ong Kim Swee as his successor on an interim basis.
Malaysia's next World Cup qualifier is against Saudi Arabia on September 8.
