Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian believes his move to Old Trafford 'is just the beginning' of his career following a solid start to life in the Premier League.
Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian believes his move to Old Trafford 'is just the beginning' of his career following a solid start to life in the Premier League.
Darmian has been one of United's standout players so far this campaign, starting all six games for Lois Van Gaal's side following his £12.7 million move from Torino in the off-season.
The 25-year-old believes the Red Devils will provide him with the best platform on which to build his career, and is confident he will continue to improve in England.
"The important thing for me is that even though I'm a foreigner, I settled in straight away at Manchester United, thanks also to my teammates and the staff who made me feel part of the group," Darmian told Italian publication Corriere della Sera.
"I put myself at the disposal of the coach immediately, with the utmost effort and humility.
"I want to stay true to myself. I am someone who worked hard to get where I am today and I intend to continue doing that. Manchester United is a beginning and not the apex of my career."
