West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is satisfied with the club's last-minute transfer coups as four new players arrived at Upton Park on transfer deadline day.
The Hammers brought in Michail Antonio from Nottingham Forest, Nikica Jelavic form Hull City, and Victor Moses on loan from Chelsea, while Alex Song returned to the club for a second season on loan from Barcelona.
"I think we did well with our business around the deadline," the Croatian boss told his club's official website. "We have a big expectation of them, they know that and that's why they've come.
"I think we've done a good job - that's what we wanted and it looks like the last day was a hectic day, but really the deals were done a few days ago and we just needed the papers [finalised].
"We knew from the start what we wanted and for a few players we waited until the end because it was impossible to get them done earlier because of their clubs.
"But we were patient and we said we'd wait until the last day and have a backup if necessary. That's why maybe it looks like it was all done on the last day, but it wasn't.
"We had some positions in which we needed some quality additions and more numbers. We didn't want to just get the numbers, but the quality ones and I'm really glad that we've done that."
