Albion Rovers FC vs Brechin City preview - McRobbie laid low as Albion return to Cliftonhill

Albion will be without Callum McRobbie when Brechin visit as the striker has been affected by tonsillitis.

Player-manager Darren Young is delighted to be playing again at Cliftonhill after a tough time of things on their travels.

He explained: "Four out of our five games have been on the road so it is good to be back at our own place. The last time we were there we won 3-0 against Ayr and a repeat of that performance and result would be terrific.

"We lost an early goal at Cowdenbeath last weekend and it was very frustrating that we could not pull it back. Hopefully there will no sense of frustration this weekend."

Brechin player-manager Darren Dods has signed experienced former Dundee full-back Willie Dyer and he will make his debut.

However, goalkeeper Graeme Smith is suspended and Paul McLean (hip) and Dene Shields (foot) are absent.

Dods said: "We are looking to get our first points of the season on board and having seen improvements in our play in recent weeks, I am hoping that we can do something at Albion Rovers.

"We are now creating a lot of chances and having Willie in the team will be a great help for our defence as we lost a couple of bad goals against Airdrie last weekend."
