Airdrie United vs Peterhead preview - Airdrie's Caolan McAleer banned for Peterhead visit

Airdrie are without Caolan McAleer through suspension when Peterhead visit.

Former Blue Toon player Bryan Gilfillan left the Diamonds by mutual consent this week while Marc Fitzpatrick (knee) and Jim Lister (groin) will not feature.

Manager Gary Bollan said: "We got our first league win at Brechin last weekend so it was good to be up and running before we faced Rangers in midweek. We lost that 5-0, however it was a game that we were not expected to win so we can move on from it quickly.

"Peterhead will be confident after defeating Dunfermline last weekend so it should be a great contest."

Peterhead have included on-loan Cammy Kerr in their squad a week after a suspension incurred in an under-20 game for parent club Dundee stopped him appearing in the 2-1 win over Dunfermline.

Steven Noble and Scott Ross return after injury, with only Jamie Stevenson ruled out after he suffered a hamstring strain.

Manager Jim McInally said: "We had Airdrie watched last Saturday against Brechin and again on Wednesday night against Rangers. We learnt more in the first game as the Rangers one was a tough evening for Airdrie.

"We showed against Dunfermline, especially in the first half, what we are capable of and hopefully we can show that again."
