Schalke 04 1 - 1 Darmstadt : Darmstadt stay unbeaten

Darmstadt continued their unbeaten start to the season by picking up a 1-1 draw at Schalke in their first away game in the Bundesliga in over 33 years.

Konstantin Rausch, the only Darmstadt player who had already beaten the Royal Blues in the past, gave the league returnees the lead in the ninth minute and it took Schalke until early in the second half to level.

Julian Draxler, who continues to be linked with a move to Juventus this summer, opened his account for the season, turning in a cross from Schalke's summer recruit Franco Di Santo.

Johannes Geis then rattled the crossbar with a free-kick but Darmstadt held on to draw their second game since returning to the German top flight.
