Baba Rahman joins Chelsea as a replacement for Filipe Luis
Chelsea have completed the signing of left-back Baba Rahman from Augsburg.
A statement from the Bundesliga club confirmed Rahman will leave Germany immediately for an undisclosed fee, which Sky sources say is in excess of £20m.
The Ghana international is a replacement for Filipe Luis, the Brazilian who returned to Atletico Madrid earlier this month.
Rahman joined Augsburg only last summer, and he told the club website: "I thank all the coaches and fans for their support last year.
"This is a chance to play at a top club in England, even if I had actually set myself on a long-term stay in Augsburg a year ago."
Augsburg general manager Stefan Reuter said: "Baba Rahman has made a great leap in his year with us.
"It's not just an award for his achievements, but also for our work, if international giants like Chelsea are interested. We wish him well in England."
