Stenhousemuir 2 - 1 Airdrie United : Eddington claims win for Warriors

Substitute Fraser Eddington's last-minute strike earned Stenhousemuir a 2-1 Ladbrokes League One victory against Airdrieonians at Ochilview Park.

Stenhousemuir let a 2-0 slip to draw 2-2 against Peterheadon the opening day of the season but the home fans were celebrating when midfielder Alan Cook finished emphatically from the left edge of the six-yard box to give the Warriors the lead shortly before half-time.

Airdrieonians boss Gary Bollan replaced Bryan Gilfillan with Jordan Morton at the start of the second half and it seemed to do the trick as they equalised three minutes later when defender Sean Crighton powered a header past keeper Jamie Barclay.

Stenhousemuir appeared to have let a lead slip for the second successive weekend but Eddington had other ideas as he slotted low past Diamonds keeper Neil Parry with seconds left to secure victory for the hosts.
