Bradford AFC vs Shrewsbury Town preview

Bradford boss Phil Parkinson has no new injury concerns but further changes are expected for the home game against Shrewsbury.

Parkinson made six changes for the midweek Capital One Cup penalty shootout defeat at York and must decide whether to retain strikers Luke James and Steven Davies, who both made their first starts.

Summer signings Paul Anderson and Mark Marshall will also be hoping to retain their respective places on the wings, while James Meredith, James Hanson, Billy Clarke, Billy Knott and Josh Morris are all pushing for recalls.

Winger Filipe Morais is Parkinson's only absentee after he ruptured knee ligaments during pre-season.

Boss Micky Mellon could keep faith with the same Shrewsbury team which shocked Blackburn in the League Cup on Tuesday.

It means Liam Lawrence is likely to keep his place despite scoring an own goal at Ewood Park as Town look for their first Sky Bet League One victory of the season.

They were beaten 2-1 at home to Millwall last week in their first game since promotion last season.

James Wesolowski is closing in on a recovery from his cruciate knee ligament injury but is not match fit but he is ahead of Nathaniel Knight-Percival who is also battling back from his own serious knee issue.
