Norwich manager Alex Neil has confirmed the club are interested in signing Italy international Mattia Destro from Serie A club Roma.

Highly-rated Destro spent the second half of last season on loan at Milan, where he scored 3 goals in 15 appearances, and is reportedly close to another loan move, this time to Serie A rivals Bologna.

However, the Canaries have been linked with a late move to bring the Italian to England and Neal confirmed the 25-year-old is amongst their targets.

"I didn't know you knew about that one," Neal said at a press conference when asked about Destro. "He's a player that has been discussed.

"There's ongoing negotiations with quite a few players, not even just players but clubs and agents and different things like that as well."
