Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky out for three months following knee surgery

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky could be set for three months out on the sidelines in order to recover from a recent knee operation, as per the Evening Standard.

The Czech star has seen his career blighted by injuries and has never fully reached his potential in England due to numerous setbacks. The 34-year-old played just 15 times in the league last season but did score two goals in that time and complete 86% of his passes.

Tomas Rosicky registered one assist in the league last season.

The report states that he picked up the knock during a Euro 2016 qualifier against the Republic of Ireland in June but it was believed that he might not have to have surgery but he was unable to take part in any of Arsenal’s pre-seasons games forcing the club to commit to the operation.

His agent Pavel Paska, confirmed on Wednesday, as reported by the Standard, that his client will not be in action until at least December after undergoing arthroscopic surgery earlier this month.

Arsene Wenger signed Rosicky from Borussia Dortmund way back in 2006 and has played over 240 games for the club so far but the last two FA Cup wins are his only trophies with the North London club to date.
