Liverpool fullback Alberto Moreno is determined to fight for his place, despite suggestions he could leave the club in the current transfer window.
The Spanish defender joined the club from Sevilla last August, but endured a difficult first campaign in the Premier League.
Having lost his starting place to 19-yead-old centre-back Joe Gomez, who joined the club in June, on the opening day of the Premier League, many felt that it spelled the end of Moreno's stay on Merseyside.
However, the 23-year-old admits that he had difficulty adjusting to life in England, but is determined to prove his worth at Anfield.
"I realised what a great club this is right away," he told Spanish publication Marca.
"The first year was difficult because of the language issue and moving away from home, but I made 41 appearances, which is pretty good for my age and a club of Liverpool’s stature.
"I’d like to be a regular in the starting line up, to play as many games as possible and for the fans to enjoy watching me."
