Louis van Gaal has given a strong indication that David De Gea could stay put by including the Real Madrid target in Manchester United's Champions League squad.
The Spain international was left out of United's matchday party of 18 for the Premier League opener against Tottenham on Saturday, which cast further doubt over his future at Old Trafford.
However, De Gea has been named in the 28-man squad for the Red Devils' return to Europe, which starts with a two-legged play-off against Club Brugge.
The other three goalkeepers in the group are off-season signing Sergio Romero, Sam Johnstone and Anders Lindegaard, while fellow new arrivals Matteo Darmian, Morgan Schneiderlin, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Memphis Depay were also included.
Van Gaal still has the option of adding one more name to the party by Monday, 11am BST, potentially another new signing should they make one before the deadline.
Man United's full Champions League squad:
Goalkeepers: David De Gea, Anders Lindegaard, Sergio Romero, Sam Johnstone;
Defenders: Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw, Paddy McNair, Matteo Darmian, Tyler Blackett;
