Airdrie United 0 - 1 Forfar Athletic : Templeman quick off the mark
Posted Sunday, August 09, 2015 by PA
Chris Templeman's second-minute strike was enough to earn Forfar a 1-0 victory at Airdrieonians.
Templeman's header from Danny Denholm's cross was the first goal scored in the SFL this season, with the visitors - for whom Bryan Hodge was impressive - comfortably picking up the points.
Forfar almost added a second in the sixth minute but Hodge's strike was pushed to safety by Neil Parry.
Striker Hodge spurned two more chances before the break and brought another decent stop from Parry just after the hour with an effort from the edge of the area.
Bryan Prunty and Alain Lithgow were wayward for Airdrieonians with Forfar dominated the closing stages.
