Everton v Watford

Everton will be keen to avoid a potential slip-up when they welcome newly-promoted Watford to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Toffees will not be able to field their strongest possible starting eleven after a number of key players were rated doubtful for the Premier League opener this week.

Gerard Deulofeu and Romelu Lukaku are nursing hamstring problems and will undergo late fitness tests, but Steven Pienaar and Muhamed Besic definitely will definitely miss out.

Kevin Mirallas and John Stones are expected to shrug off minor niggles in time to feature against the Hornets.
Tom Cleverley, meanwhile, will make his debut in the Toffees' midfield.

Watford, on the other hand, are set to field a new-look squad following their promotion to England's top flight.
The club brought in 10 new signings during the off-season and the majority of them will be in-line to make their debut.

Steven Berghuis has been ruled out through injury while Miguel Britos is suspended.
