Dumbarton vs Hibernian FC preview - All-Barr one fit for Dumbarton

Dumbarton's former Hearts defender Darren Barr could miss out against Hibernian at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium.

Barr sustained a knee injury in a Scottish League Cup tie against East Fife last Saturday and is doubtful, but boss Stephen Aitken has no other selection worries.

Aitken said: "Darren will be a late check and we hope that he makes it for what is a really exciting start to our league season.

"Hibs are one of the biggest clubs in the country and we are looking forward to pitting our wits against them.

"We lost to East Fife on penalties but we have put that behind us and are ready."

Dan Carmichael, James Keatings and Martin Boyle have returned to training for Hibs.

Jordon Forster (hamstring) remains out but Dominique Malonga could be back from a similar problem.

Daniel Handling is missing with a serious knee injury while Farid El Alagui is still recovering from knee surgery.

Head coach Alan Stubbs said: "We know we are going to be in for a tough game, as all the games are, but with it being the first game players are always up for it and very enthusiastic.

"But we want to start off on the right foot."
