Glasgow Rangers vs St. Mirren preview - Rangers strong for Saints test

Rangers manager Mark Warburton will have close to a fully-fit squad to choose from for Friday's Ladbrokes Championship opener with St Mirren.

The Ibrox side have come through two early-season cup clashes with Hibernian and Peterhead unscathed.

Only Cammy Bell remains a doubt as he recovers from a minor knee injury, while trialist John Eustace continues to work towards clinching a deal with Warburton's squad.

St Mirren include Calum Gallagher in their squad, with the striker in line to face his former colleagues just three days after leaving Ibrox.

Everyone else in the squad is fit and available, with manager Ian Murray looking forward to his first league game in charge.

Murray said: "We played a couple of weeks ago against Berwick in the Petrofac Cup and I was happy with the number of chances that we created. We spent last weekend playing Sheffield United in a friendly, so we are ready.

"It is a tough opening fixture but it's a game that we'll be looking to win."
