Sako signs for Palace

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of attacking midfielder Bakary Sako on a three-year deal following the expiration of his contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 27-year-old Mali international is already familiar with English football, having made over 100 appearances for Wolves since joining from Saint-Etienne in 2012, and he is looking forward to working under Eagles manager Alan Pardew.

"I talked to some clubs but when I met Alan I felt a good feeling between him and me and that's why I chose Palace," Sako told his new club's official website.

"He plays attacking, attractive football so it should be good to play here and score some goals, that's why I came to join him."

Sako is the fifth new arrival at Selhurst Park in the off-season after the signings of Yohan Cabaye, Alex McCarthy and Connor Wickham, while Patrick Bamford has also joined on loan from Chelsea.
