Manchester United launch bid to sign Fernando Muslera

Manchester United are set to launch an audacious bid to sign Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, according to the Metro.
The Red Devils have already signed goalkeeper Sergio Romero on a free transfer, however, first choice goalkeeper David De Gea is still reportedly a target for Real Madrid and United preparing for life after the Spanish shot-stopper, according to the report.
With reports that Victor Valdes could also be on his way out of the club after his supposed falling out with manager Louis van Gaal (per the Daily Mail), Muslera could be signed to replace him.
The article continues stating that the Turkish club are said to be reluctant to sell the 29-year-old but could find the £24.5 million they could received for the player hard to turn down.
The Uruguayan goalkeeper has won the Turkish Super Liga every year that he has been at Galatasaray, helping them claim their record 20th league title last season.
He has also featured in two Copa America’s winning in 2011 with his native Uruguay and was part of the side that finished fourth in the 2010 World Cup.
The Manchester United target kept 11 clean sheets last season, the second most in the Turkish league, he also registered a 100% claim success rate. He did, however, concede the tenth most goals in the league last season with 34.
