Chelsea prepared to pay £15m for Tottenham ace (but Baba Rahman remains an option!)

CHELSEA have cast their net out further in their hunt for a left-back and have set their sights on Tottenham's Danny Rose, according to reports.

The Blues have been relatively quiet so far this window, bringing in Asmir Begovic and clinching a season-long loan deal for Radamel Falcao.

Reports emerged last week suggesting Chelsea had agreed a £17.5million deal for the Augsburg star.

But the Daily Mirror claim Tottenham's Danny Rose is on Jose Mourinho's hitlist.

Chelsea it is believed, are prepared to pay around £15m for Rose.

The Blues are thought to have made an approach to sign the 25-year-old.

However, the report suggests Rahman is still being considered as a serious option if Mourinho can't get his hands on Rose.
