CHELSEA have suffered a blow in their attempts to sign Napoli winger Jose Callejon.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho targeted the 28-year-old with uncertainty surrounding the futures of Mohamed Salah and Juan Cuadrado while Spurs' attempts to support Harry Kane led to them registering an interest in Callejon.
Chelsea were said to be close to sealing a £15.5million deal for Napoli forward but Italian website Tuttosport say Roberto Mancini's Inter have now entered the battle.
The report claims Inter are prepared to swap Brazilian defender Juan Jesus for Callejon.
Callejon is said to be a key player for Napoli but is considered expendable compared to the likes of Gonzalo Higuain.
The Spaniard has spent the last two seasons in Italy since leaving Real Madrid and scored 26 goals in that time.
Egyptian winger Salah is likely to join Roma while Cuadrado could return to Serie A after a difficult spell at Stamford Bridge since his arrival in January.
