Wayne Rooney sees himself coaching after he hangs up his boots
WAYNE ROONEY insists he wants to go into coaching after his playing days are over.
The United striker turns 30 in October.
And he claims coaching is something he is seriously considering after he hangs up his boots.
"I think as a player, and hopefully one day going into coaching, then you're always trying to pick up things, what teams are doing and, especially as you get a little bit older, you are trying to see how different teams are playing the game and how you feel you could counteract that," Rooney told ESPN.
"It's a different way of watching football and learning from it."
Rooney and United take on Barcelona in a pre-season friendly in Santa Clara tomorrow and he believes the Catalan giants are just as good as the class of 2011.
He added: "Barcelona are a fantastic team.
"After Real Madrid winning the Champions League [in 2014], they wouldn't have liked that and they've come out again and been incredible really, probably as good as they have been over the last 10 years, I believe."
