Jackson finally joins Atleti

Atletico have officially announced the signing of Colombian striker Jackson Martinez.

The forward is the club's third new addition for next season, following the arrivals of Luciano Vietto and Yannick Carrasco.

Atlético and Porto agreed some time ago that the deal would be done for the sum specified in Jackson Martínez's release clause: 35 million euros.

Jackson was firmly committed to joining the 'Rojiblancos' as soon as he was aware that the club was interested in him, and he will now join Atlético backed by his prolific goalscoring figures, having netted almost 100 times for Porto over the course of three seasons. In fact, he was the top scorer in the Portuguese league in all of those seasons, scoring 26, 20 and 21 goals respectively.
