It’s believed that Angel Di Maria’s agent Jorge Mendes is in Paris to work out the final details of his client’s move from Manchester United to Paris Saint-Germain for €60 million this summer, as reported by Mercato 365.
According to the French football website, Di Maria really wants to move to the Parc des Princes in this window, and with the fees all reportedly agreed upon it’s now surely just a matter of time until the transfer is finalised.
The website claims that the French champions will match his €15 million wages after only offering him €8 million last summer, as United beat them in the race for the Argentine’s signature from Real Madrid. However, despite a very bright start to his Premier League career, Di Maria tailed off badly at Old Trafford in the second half of the season.
The Argentine scored three goals and created 51 chances for United last term, with an average pass accuracy of 78% and winning 46% of his average duels.
The Red Devils finished the campaign in fourth place under Louis van Gaal, qualifying for the Champions League after a year out of Europe. However they must overcome a two-legged qualifier to make it through to the group stages at the start of the coming season.
As for PSG, they finished eight points clear of their nearest Ligue 1 title rivals Lyon, and will no doubt be looking to push on in Europe following their improved display in the Champions League last term.
