Nani set to join Fenerbahce

Manchester United winger Nani is to have a medical at Fenerbahce on Sunday ahead of a proposed move to the Turkish side.

The Turks announced the news on social media on Thursday night, saying on twitter: "Fenerbahce has begun to talks with Luis Nani and his club Manchester United to transfer the player.

"Nani will be in Istanbul on Sunday for a medical check up."

Nani signed a new five-year deal at Old Trafford in 2013 but spent last season on loan at Sporting Lisbon and is looking for a new club after being told he is not part of Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal's plans.

The 28-year-old played 230 times for United, winning the Champions League Trophy and four Premier League titles, and has has also represented Portugal 86 times.
