Arsenal really do seem to be closing in on Vidal
Arturo Vidal’s move to Arsenal is 90% done according to reports in Spain.
Despite the emergence of Francis Coquelin, Arsene Wenger is in the market for a midfielder in Vidal’s mould, with the Chilean overtaking Morgan Schneiderlin as his primary target.
And according to Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, a deal to bring the 28-year-old to the Emirates Stadium is 90% done, after Wenger personally authorised the transfer to go ahead.
The fee is understood to be around £21million, with only a few minor details needing to be sorted to get Vidal signed.
