Lionel Messi and Argentina will play Brazil or Paraguay in the semifinals
After missing two earlier chances to seal victory, Argentina finally prevailed 5-4 in a penalty shootout vs. Colombia to claim a Copa America semifinal spot.
Carlos Tevez was the Argentina hero, on the day it was announced he is returning to Boca Juniors, as his spot-kick beat David Ospina after Colombia's Jeison Murillo saw his effort saved by Sergio Romero.
Earlier, after Luis Muriel and Juan Zuniga both missed for Colombia, Lucas Biglia first and then Marcos Rojo could not convert chances to seal the victory.
During the 90 minutes, Argentina had the best of the chances but were denied repeatedly by Colombia goalkeeper Ospina.
In the first half, seconds after Ospina had saved a Sergio Aguero shot with his feet, he reacted quickly to push Lionel Messi's goalbound header over the bar.
Ten minutes from full-time, Ospina pushed a Nicholas Otamendi header onto the post and the ball was scrambled clear after it rolled along the goal line.
