Man Utd cease pursuit of Borussia Dortmund ace Gundogan

Manchester United have reportedly ended their interest in Ilkay Gundogan.

According to the Daily Star, the Red Devils have ceased their pursuit of the Borussia Dortmund midfielder who could yet remain at the Westfalenstadion.

Gundogan is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract with Dortmund but could still sign a new deal according to his agent and uncle Ilhan Gundogan.

This news suggests to United that perhaps Gundogan is no longer available, prompting Louis van Gaal to look elsewhere for a new midfielder.
