Arsenal can win the Premier League if they sign Chelsea's Petr Cech

ARSENAL can be title contenders if they sign Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.

Cech, who spent the majority of the 2014-15 season on the bench, is keen to join the Gunners this summer.

Talks over a deal are ongoing and it's understood that Gunners chief Arsene Wenger will have to fork out £10m to acquire the 33-year-old's services.

The potential arrival of Cech, 33, would add some much need experience to the Wenger's side.

And according to former Spurs chief Harry Redknapp, the Gunners can compete for the Premier League title if the Czech stopper moves to the Emirates this summer.

HE'S THE KEY: Redknapp believes the Gunners can win the league if they sign Chelsea star Cech

"Petr Cech could be a great move for Arsenal if they can get him. He wants to stay in London and the Gunners need a top keeper.

"I’ve said they need 2-3 good buys and he’s one of them. Added to him they need a striker and another central defender or top holding midfielder.

"Jack Wilshere will be fit at the start of the season, as will Theo Walcott and if they can get Cech and some other good buys then I can see Arsenal challenging for the title next season."
