Chelsea interested in Samuel Umtiti

Premier League champions Chelsea are interested in signing French defender Samuel Umtiti from Lyon should the Ligue 1 runners-up want to bring Loic Remy back to the club, report the Guardian.
Remy came up through the academy system at Lyon, then having spells at Nice and Marseille before going to the Premier League.
After spells with QPR and Newcastle United, Remy joined Chelsea last summer but he hardly featured in the Premier League and the Guardian’s report suggests he could consider his future given the imminent arrival of Radamel Falcao.
Lyon, who have qualified for the Champions League and have a brand new stadium, are one of the clubs interested and the Blues could ask for Umtiti in part exchange.
Umtiti is still just 21 but he has already established himself as a key player for his club and is extremely highly thought of by the international set-up.
He has the ability to play at left-back as well as centre-back, which is sure to impress Mourinho and he could form an impressive partnership in the future with Kurt Zouma.
Umtiti may be a young player but he would slot straight into the first-team squad just like Zouma did and it will be interesting to see if the deal goes through.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are on the verge of signing Radamel Falcao, as reported by BBC Sport.
