Barcelona confirm interest in Pogba

Even though Barcelona are not allowed to sign any players until January 2016, Bartomeu revealed that the treble winners will do everything in their power to persuade the 22-year-old to come to the Nou Camp.

"It is true that Pogba is a leading target of ours and obviously we are interested, but I can't say anything more," Bartomeu told Telefoot. "We are forbidden to recruit players until January, so I can't talk about it."

Barcelona's sporting director Ariedo Braida was pictured speaking with Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, ahead of the Champions League final in Berlin on Saturday, but Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta has made it clear that Pogba is not for sale.

"His position is different. Pogba has a multi-season contract, is growing year on year and we need quality players to improve the team," Marotta said. "In this case, the desire of the club is predominant over that of the player.

"Our rapport is excellent, we don't want to sell him, there are no negotiations and we have no intention of starting any."
