Lyonnais vs Bordeaux preview - Lyon aiming for big finish

France's top scorer Alexandre Lacazette will be aiming to end his season on a high when Lyon entertain Bordeaux on Saturday with the Ligue 1 title race effectively conceded last weekend.

Lyon's shock 3-0 defeat to Caen means that, barring an incredible upset, Paris St Germain will take the title - though there is the consolation for Hubert Fournier's men that the runners-up spot and Champions League football is all but secured after a four-year absence.

Lacazette's stunning season will also finish against Bordeaux - he is suspended for the last game against Rennes - but with a club record 27 goals he is seven ahead of his nearest rival so the individual title should be his.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has promised he will fend off bids for Lacazette but coach Fournier said the side's success has been a collective effort.

Fournier said: "I am satisfied, even if there is not much that is glorious about it after our performance against Caen. But we mustn't forget what has been done to make this a good year and we need to close it on a good note against Bordeaux and Rennes."

Willy Sagnol's Bordeaux side should also be in Europe next season and three points from two games will guarantee sixth spot and a probable place in the Europa League.

Bordeaux defender Nicolas Pallois said: "Everyone is fully focused because we are aware that we could qualify for Europe.

"Let's hopefully pick up the points at Lyon and then we want to finish the season well in the new stadium. Lyon are ahead of us but we are capable of getting a result."

Clinton Njie is a doubt for Lyon with a thigh injury but Yoann Gourcuff, who has been out since late March, may return. Bordeaux have injury concerns over Lamine Sane and Julien Faubert.
