According to the Spanish press, teenage attacker Sandro Ramirez is looking to leave Barcelona for the Premier League this summer.
However, the 19-year-old isn’t targeting a move to the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United. Instead, he has his heart set on Newcastle United, according to his agent.
The forward, who has featured seven times in La Liga this season, scoring twice, is looking to move to St James’ Park on a loan deal this summer in order to get more playing time.
The player’s representative, Gines Carvajal, is in the process of concluding the deal which will see the Catalan youngster represent the Magpies for the whole of next season.
Should Sandro complete his move, he will surely hope that the situation at SJP next season is calmer than it is now.
John Carver’s side sit only two points clear of the Premier League relegation zone and the relationship has completely broken down between the club’s fanbase and its despised owner Mike Ashley.
Similarly, the interim coach has endured his own fractured relationship with certain players at the club, and wholesale changes are expected this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City are also believed to be interested in the Spain U21 international.
