Stranraer 1 : 1 Forfar Athletic - Forfar ease into final

Forfar cruised into the Scottish Championship play-off final as they secured a 4-1 aggregate win over Stranraer.

They made the trip having won 3-0 in Wednesday's first leg and knew only a momentous comeback from the hosts would deny them a place in the two-legged final next week.

Four minutes before the break, however, they did fall behind when Willie Gibson was fouled by Michael Travis and Chris Aitken found the bottom corner from the penalty spot.

But they could relax within 10 minutes of the start of the second half when they won a spot-kick of their own which Gavin Swankie converted.

Swankie could have grabbed another but was denied by David Mitchell as Forfar began to plan for clashes with Alloa.
