Plymouth Argyle vs Wycombe Wanderers preview - Big guns could return for Plymouth

Plymouth could recall their first choice strike pair for their play-off semi-final first leg against Wycombe at Home Park.

Boss John Sheridan left out top scorer Reuben Reid against Shrewsbury so he could rest a foot injury while regular partner Lewis Alessandra was ill but the duo are likely to replace Ryan Brunt and Zak Ansah.

Carl McHugh is set to keep his place in the starting line-up despite having struggled with an injury to his left knee in recent months.

And Sheridan has been given the green light to include all four loanees, Bobby Reid, Ansah, Tareiq Holmes-Dennis and Gethin Jones in the matchday squad.

Wycombe will wait on the fitness of goalkeeper Matt Ingram ahead of the trip to Devon.

The shotstopper, who was made 111 consecutive starts for the Chairboys, was forced off during Saturday's 3-2 win over Northampton but returned to training this week and may recover in time to line up.

Sam Saunders also missed that victory but returns to contention with Sido Jombati their only definite absentee.

Loaneees Alfie Mawson, Saunders, Nico Yennaris and Fred Onyedinma will all be involved having had their stays at Adams Park extended this week.
