Alloa Athletic vs Brechin City preview - Advantage Alloa, but duo out

Posted Friday, May 08, 2015 by PA

Alloa are without Jason Marr and Stephen Simmon, but they do hold the advantage against Brechin.

Marr (hamstring) and Simmons (back) are missing, yet their team hold a 2-0 advantage after beating their opponents on Wednesday.

However, manager Danny Lennon said: "We cannot be complacent as Brechin have good players who will have been disappointed at losing the other night.

"We have to go out with the same approach that we have shown in recent games and if we do that then we will be okay. Hibs were two up on Hamilton last season in a play-off and lost. That is a warning."

Brechin City manager Ray McKinnon has the luxury of a full squad to choose from for the first time this season as he has no injuries and Darren McCormack is available after a ban.

McKinnon is looking for his men to show the attacking threat that was missing from their game in midweek.

He explained: "We are a good side going forward, however we never got going on Wednesday. I want us to show Alloa that we are the better side than the one that they played the other night. If we do that we have a chance.

"I do not believe that we are out of things."
