Arsenal will be in the market for players of the same calibre as Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, according to Andy Gray.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger recently claimed his side weren't far behind recently crowned Premier League champions Chelsea, while many pundits suggest Wenger is just one or two signings away from mounting a serious title challenge next season.
And talkSPORT presenter Andy Gray agrees with the Emirates chief, and claims Wenger will be in the market for players in the same class as Paul Pogba, who is conincedently being linked with a move back to the Premier League this summer.
Gray told Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast today: "When I look at the Arsenal squad, what Arsene Wenger doesn't need is numbers.
"He has a fantastically deep squad with a lot of good players. What he needs is quality, and I think he has said that himself.
"He is only going to be interested now in buying a player that makes his team, not his squad, better. Paul Pogba fits into that bracket. He would definitely make Arsenal a better team.
"I think Arsenal will only go into the market this summer if they can get two big ones and, if they can, they will pay what they need to."
Although signing Pogba might perhaps be out of Wenger's price range, with the France international reportedly being lined up for a £60m+ transfer by the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea, he has instead been linked with moves for world class players like Marco Verratti, Karim Benzema and Edinson Cavani.
