Messi cruises past Cristiano Ronaldo and Luiz Adriano

Lionel Messi's Champions League semi-final brace against Bayern Munich took his tally for the season to ten goals, overtaking Cristiano Ronaldo and Luiz Adriano in the tournament's goalscoring charts.
The Argentine star's goalscoring prowess has all but settled the tie and Barcelona have a foot in the final. With fifteen minutes to go, Messi finally broke down the Bayern defence and scored twice, leaving Guardiola and co. with an uphill battle to qualify.
Messi also overtook Cristiano Ronaldo as the Champions League's all-time top scorer. The Barcelona man has now scored 77 goals in the tournament, one more than the Real Madrid star who took his total to 76 on Tuesday.
